Positive Signs

Following a challenging year for the construction industry, we are pleased to see a strong uplift in the volume of enquiries and sales for our range of tenant directory and workplace related sign solutions - more evidence of a UK economy emerging from recession.

According to a recent report by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), commercial property letting is continuing to rise across the UK. As the economy stabilises, surveyors have reported that enquiries from potential occupiers are increasing in the regions whilst in the capital demand for new commercial space is slowly improving in the West End and City.

External and internal signage is always one of the first requirements for companies moving into leased office space, new business start-ups and when new commercial buildings or office refurbishment projects are completed.

Mark Bartlett, MD, comments “There is evidence that the level of demand for signage is a good barometer of economic activity and the RICS report does support the view that UK PLC is emerging from recession”.

Deloitte Appoints

Signbox Ltd, has been appointed as the approved corporate signage provider for Deloitte & Touche LLP, the international financial and management consultancy.

Following a competitive tender process, Signbox was chosen by facilities management company Axcess Solutions, to design and manufacture the corporate signage for two of Deloitte’s UK regional offices at Cardiff and Newcastle.

Frank Venner of Axcess Solutions comments, “As a retained supplier for Deloitte, providing services for their new and existing buildings throughout the UK, we were asked to source a corporate sign supplier to produce signage for Deloitte’s Newcastle and Cardiff offices.
Of the three companies that pitched for the business, the Signbox presentation was the most outstanding – it met the brief on every criteria and, importantly, was the most cost-effective. We were also impressed with the prompt and highly professional way that Signbox dealt with our queries”.
