Signbox have also supplied vinyl graphics for the company’s numerous commercial vehicles. Mark Bartlett, managing director for Signbox comments, “25 years ago we specialised in vehicle liveries and perhaps contrary to current perception it is a service we are keen to continue offering as part of our extensive portfolio of signage products and expertise”.
Mike Phillpot, Marketing & Multimedia Coordinator for proAV comments, “We have a long and valued relationship with Signbox and they have helped us successfully re-brand in the past. So the decision to continue benefitting from their wealth of experience and high quality work was an easy one for the company to make.”

Mashrabiya details for Berkshire School
One of the more unusual and technically demanding projects in recent weeks, was to manufacture and install external signage for the newly built Iqra Slough Islamic Primary School .
The building’s architects, ADP, required a sign that reflected a Middle Eastern screen effect called Mashrabiya – an element of traditional Arabic architecture used from the middle ages through to the mid-twentieth century.
ADP were looking for a company with the technical expertise necessary to convert the mashrabiyan detail into large decorative panels around the buidings facade.
Having approached Signbox, we were able to design a solution which allowed for the sign to have a feeling of depth and, most importantly, look authentic. We used a water-jet to cut the 316 marine grade stainless steel, replicating the intricate detail of mashrabiya screen effect. A structural sheet finishes the background with a high quality stoved paint finish.

Arabian delights
A team from Signbox have just returned from Jordan, following the successful completion of the guest room and wayfinding signage for the recently refurbished Intercontinental Hotel, Amman.
Through close liaison with the architect, Jackson Daly, Signbox has produced a bespoke room sign specifically for this hotel taking into account the interior décor and lighting as well as the required functionality.
Brett Bailey, general manager for Signbox comments, “The signage for the guest rooms is highly complex in design. Not only are the signs permanently illuminated but they also incorporate integral red and green LEDs to indicate whether guests do not want to be disturbed or whether they would like the rooms to be cleaned. The signs also incorporate a door chime button and room number.”
Signbox also had to design and provide a bespoke switch which operates the signage from inside the room. The sign has halo illuminated push buttons that also illuminate red and green to indicate the sign illumination outside the room.
