Height of achievement

Signbox have just completed an intricate and technically demanding project, to manufacture and install a substantial corporate logo to the top of Northern Trust’s Canary Wharf premises.

The project commenced in January and involved skylifting structural steelwork to a precise location at roof level, providing a support for the 2 metre high lettering and 5 metre diameter logo. However a combination of Health and Safety restrictions and the need to minimise disruption to personnel working in Canary Wharf, meant that installation could only take place at weekends.

Coinciding with the severe weather conditions experienced early this year and exacerbated by the 62 metre height that the Signbox installation team were working at, the Northern Trust’s logo is now visible from afar, especially at dusk with illumination provided by low energy, high performance LED's.

Dynamic study environment

Inspirational and exciting signage, engages visitors and students in the brand new £120 million
purpose-built INTO study centre at UEA London (the London campus for the University of East Anglia).

Providing a dynamic learning environment, the innovatively designed building, located close to Liverpool Street station, features flexible, multi-purpose classrooms and state-of-the-art teaching facilities. The new centre now accommodates more than 1000 students studying a range of pathway courses leading to undergraduate and postgraduate level studies at UEA in Norwich and other UK universities.

INTO (who operate a number of centres at other UK universities) approached Signbox to manufacture and install a
wayfinding system to help both English and foreign students easily navigate their way throughout the new complex.

Stealth signs in rural splendour

Stealth monolith signs have been specified for the beautiful landscaped surroundings of the new purpose-built retirement village at Letcombe Regis in the heart of rural Oxfordshire.

Signbox have supplied both external & internal signs to wayfind residents and visitors around the luxurious facilities available, including The Wellness Spa, a state-of-the-art complex complete with gymnasium and pool, the Bowling Green, Lakeside gardens and a nature trail.

The elegantly sleek curves of the Stealth profile make an individual architectural statement that blends harmoniously within this parkland environment. Formed from a single-piece aluminium extrusion, Stealth is an extremely durable product that can be powder coated or stove enamelled to any BS or RAL colour finish.
